MORE INFORMATION

Customize your multi-day tour to Yosemite National Park from San Francisco with a stay at the conveniently located Curry Village Tent Cabins. Take all the free time you’d like to enjoy the park’s wilderness, towering granite cliffs, Giant Sequoias and awe-inspiring waterfalls.

Let our travel consultants and expert guides introduce you to the many summertime and wintertime activities so don’t miss the history, geology and wildlife that make Yosemite Valley the jewel of the U.S. National Parks.

Travel and Hospitality Awards named this the best Yosemite tour from San Francisco for its jaw-dropping natural beauty. The tour has earned more 5-star guest reviews because our award-winning expert guides include the Giant Sequoias among the attractions in Yosemite Valley.

Your Yosemite Giant Sequoia Tour begins on your outbound day with a pickup at your hotel, then heads east crossing through California’s fertile San Joaquin Valley and into the Sierra Nevada mountains. Pass through 150-year-old mining towns and learn the history of the region.

Soon after entering Yosemite, you will experience the solitude of the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias. You won’t doubt for a second that these are the largest living creatures on the planet. No picture does them justice, but that should not keep you from trying!

In winter, when conditions on the Tuolumne Grove trail are snow-covered or unsafe, we substitute this experience with other attractions.

Your heart (and cameras) will be racing as you enter Yosemite Valley and enjoy a stop at Inspiration Point (also known as Tunnel View). Take a moment and then some selfies with El CapitanHalf Dome and Bridalveil Falls as your backdrop.

Your free and unguided time begins after checking into Curry Village Tent Cabins. Each tent cabin can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two central shower buildings and restrooms are even closer. Curry Village has an outdoor pool, a mountaineering store, several restaurants, and a well stocked general store. You are also welcome to bring or buy your own food so long as it is not kept in the cabin but stored in a bear-proof locker (provided free of charge at Yosemite).

Curry Village Tent Cabins are a great way to be close to nature, just minutes away from Happy Isles, the Mist Trail, Yosemite Village, Yosemite Falls and most of the Valley’s attractions. For just a little sacrifice, you get a great payback in convenient location, with no commute time, and more time being so close to Yosemite’s world famous landmarks! A tent cabin is just like it sounds – a wooden frame with canvas covering, four single beds, bug screen windows with privacy covers, one light bulb, and a lockable door. It might get a bit chilly in Yosemite during nights, so make sure you bring some warm clothes.

Take one or more days to enjoy the park before your return day. In spring and summer choose from hiking, biking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing or nighttime stargazing. In winter, choose from snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tubing, ice skating and more. (Please note: 3rd party activities depend on conditions and availability and are not included.)

Special requests? Help with photos? Just ask. Last year, Extranomical earned more 5-star reviews at Yosemite National Park than anyone. Guests can enjoy our signature Yosemite One Day Tour 365 days a year.

We’re so confident that our overnight Curry Village Tent Cabins Tour from San Francisco will amaze—it’s backed by a Satisfaction Guarantee.
