Your bus ticket will be a hop on hop off ticket which will be valid for 24 hours from redemption. The time you choose when making a booking will be your cruise time from Poole Quay.
There are various options to purchase tickets, including online, directly from the driver while onboard the bus, from ticket sellers located at Bournemouth Pier Approach, or at any of the Tourist Information Centres. Moreover, our Bus and Boat Combination tickets provide you with a 24-hour Hop-On Hop-Off Bus ticket, along with a boat cruise of your preference at a specified time. Commencing from 2023, we are pleased to offer a complimentary 15-minute Beryl taster in addition to your bus ticket.
For your convenience City Sightseeing Bournemouth provides 25 sightseeing stops at some of Bournemouth & Poole’s most interesting places. Westbourne, Canford Cliffs, Sandbanks, Poole Park, Poole Quay & Poole Old Town. The first and last stop of the tour is at Bournemouth Pier, with a variety of main and request stops in between, but you can join the tour at any stop on route just hail the driver as the bus is approaching.
For the convenience of visitors arriving by coach or train, we pick up from Bournemouth Coach and Train Station and for those who are staying in hotels on the East Cliff , we pick up at the Suncliff Hotel, Carlton Hotel and the Russell Cotes Museum bus stops on the East Overcliff Drive, then head down to Bournemouth Pier ready for the first two trips of the day, we will not be returning here after these times. The daily service operates during the season, with the initial bus departure from Bournemouth Pier at 10am and the final departure at 5pm. From Poole Quay, the first bus departs at 11am and the last bus leaves at 6pm. Opting for a complete round-trip tour on the bus takes approximately an hour and a half, with a brief ten-minute stopover at Poole Quay. View our timetable

Embark on a journey through 185 million years worth of history through Poole Harbour, along the eastern tip of the Jurassic Coastline into Swanage and back. Where you will experience breathtaking panoramas of sky, sea, sand and chalk formations. Including Old Harry Rock's that is said to be named after a notorious pirate, Harry Paye. With many sights to see on the way, you are guranteed to not miss a thing as the Captain provides you with live commentary there and back. City Cruises Poole departs from Poole Quay (close to Bus stop 18), please make your way to the blue kiosk to redeem your ticket in time and staff will instruct you further. The journey takes about 45 minutes from Bournemouth Pier to Poole Quay with the sightseeing bus, please make sure you are early enough to catch your cruise allowing time to walk over, redeem your ticket and queue to board.

Both the bus and the boat welcome dogs as long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead; however, there is a £2 fee applicable for dogs on the boat.
While the buses are accessible for wheelchairs, regrettably, the boats are not.

All of our boat cruises depart from Poole Quay, and return to the same point. When arriving from Bournemouth on the open top bus, please alight at bus stop 18 next to the Poole Quay Hotel, and then head back along the quay to the BLUE City Experiences Kiosk.
2 hours and 10 minutes, it will exit the harbour onto the open sea, sail past Old Harry Rocks and turn around in Swanage Bay.
It is a pre-recorded English commentary on loudspeakers, therefor no headphones needed on the buses
There is live commentary onboard by your captain in English
Yes, our buses and cruises are both dog friendly. We ask that your favourite is on a lead and/or in your lap at all times and that they are well behaved. Please note there will be a small charge for dogs on the cruises (£2) at the kiosk.
Yes, the buses are wheelchair friendly.
Passengers have to be able to walk over the gangway onto the vessel. If it is foldable wheelchair, then we can take it on board, if it is motorised, they are able to leave it by our blue kiosk, and we can keep the battery inside the kiosk whilst they are on their trip
We can take push chairs on board, as long as the child is taken out of the buggy whilst going over the gangway
