We strive to create safe and fun tours, from start to finish. In addition to sanitizing all high-touch areas, such as seats and handlebars, we are making masks and hand sanitizer available to everyone, frequently & thoroughly cleaning our office, and practicing social distancing while on tour. Our check-in process is contactless and guests are not required to enter our office, but of course are welcome to do so provided they are wearing a mask.
We’re happy to offer free changes and 100% refund up to 24 hours before tour departure. Failure to cancel a reservation at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds. Fare difference may apply. We do have rain ponchos available in our office, as tours run rain or shine. It's best to come prepared, but these ponchos act as a bit of rain insurance. It can get extremely hot in Rome during the summer months. Please prepare for the heat by bringing/wearing adequate sun protection and staying hydrated. Even if you are accustomed to high temperatures, air-conditioning is not always available in Italy.
Yes! This bike tour is an excellent activity for kids who already know how to ride a bike. Our only request is that your children are comfortable riding in a group, have been cycling for some time, and can navigate riding a bike on various surfaces including cobbled streets. Please keep in mind that anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the tour. We have a two small bike sizes available for young riders: • extra small 20 inch wheeled bikes, generally for kids 6-12 years old or those between 3.1-4.3ft (95-130cm) • small 24 inch wheeled bikes, generally for kids 9+ years old or those between 4.2-4.8ft (128-146cm) You can reserve these smaller bikes after choosing children's tickets when checking out, or feel free to reach out to us if you have more questions about the options! We unfortunately do not have any tandems, tricycles, or tag-along trailers available. All participants must be able to ride their own bike. All bikes come with 3-speeds and hand breaks.
Helmets are available at no additional cost, however adults are not compelled to wear one by law. We have plenty of different sizes available for any age. Studies have shown that helmets can reduce head injuries by at least 85%.
This tour highlights the majority of famous landmarks throughout Rome, however we will not be entering any museums or monuments during the tour. We have designed this tour as a way for you to gain greater perspective and understanding of the city, with the possibility of returning to the sites that interest you most after the tour has concluded.

Rome has a significant amount of cobblestone streets, so while we would love to show you around town, we don't recommend this bike tour for expecting mothers.
This is a relatively easy tour, but we do ask all participants to know how to ride a bike and feel comfortable riding in a group. You should have good balance, be able to start and stop comfortably, and be familiar with hand brakes. Most of this tour is on roads and the surfaces in Rome vary and may include cobbled streets as well as smooth gravel and pavement.
We highly recommend it! We will prioritize places and bikes to those who have reserved in advance. All guests are welcome to join depending on availability, but we do limit group sizes for safety.
We kindly ask that once you depart with your guide, you intend on staying for the duration of the tour. The tour is about three hours long, so please plan accordingly.
