This monument-dense area of DC can be overwhelming, but our local, knowledgable guides will take the time to explain the history and significance of these sites, bringing the city to life.
If you have never ridden an e-bike before, pedal-assist is a great starting point. These bikes allow you to pedal and add on battery-powered assistance. Unlike throttle bikes where you can go from 0-20 in just a few seconds, these bikes slowly help you increase your speed and allow you to tackle inclines that would otherwise prove difficult. Plus, we allow everyone to test the bikes near our office before starting the tour, and we make sure that everyone feels comfortable.
Departing from our centrally-located office, we'll tackle some of the most sought-out sites first, like the Smithsonian museums, the Washington Monument, and of course the Capitol Building. The e-bikes will allow us to include the breathtaking monuments located around the Tidal Basin as well. You will see most of the iconic DC monuments, learn about the history behind them, and still have energy to enjoy the rest of your day in just 3 hours. As this is a fully outdoor experience, we will maintain social distancing without the need to compromise any aspect of our tour. We will sanitize all high-touch surfaces before and after each use and provide hand sanitizer to all guests.

Our electric bikes are great for those who want to save their legs! With a small electric motor to help propel your forward, it requires far less effort to cycle around D.C. and enjoy the sites. This also allows us to cover more ground than with our standard bikes. We will give everyone a brief orientation and training session, allow you to practice with the bikes before beginning the tour, then head out once everyone feels comfortable.
Helmets are provided free of charge and mandatory for all riders on this tour. Your safety is top priority for us and studies have shown that helmets can reduce head injuries by at least 85%.
Reservations are required as we have a limited number of electric bikes and try to keep our group sizes small.
Due to the nature of our electric bikes, we ask that all participants be at least 16 years old and at least 5 feet (155cm) tall.
While we set aside time to walk around some memorials (the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial for example), we will not be entering any buildings. Our guides will provide you with plenty of information to go back and visit other museums (like the myriad of Smithsonians) on your own after the tour.
Unfortunately, due to the risk to both child and mother, pregnant women are not allowed to participate in this tour.
We keep groups to 8 guests or fewer to ensure everyone's safety.
