Yes, all of our tours are in English. Your trip to Edinburgh will be taken by an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly English-speaking Driver-Guide.
As we like to give you as much time off the coach as possible with the opportunity for walks, we recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes and take sun-block or a hat for sunny days. Don't forget your camera to capture all the lovely scenery and wildlife you'll encounter on your tour! Since we cannot allow hot food on our buses you could also bring a cold packed lunch with you to make the most of your time at each stop, this would be particularly time-saving in the busier months!
We always ensure passengers return back to their port on time, however in the rare case we can't make it, we will transfer you to your next port of call.
We welcome children over 4 years old on our tours, and children aged between 4-16yrs are eligible for the concessionary rate. We regret we are not able to carry children under the age of 4 on any of our Edinburgh shore excursions.

Departing Invergordon, we travel to our first stop of the day, Cawdor Castle. Set amid beautiful gardens in Nairnshire, Cawdor Castle is the ancestral home of the Campbells and dates back to the 15th Century. Spend time here exploring the castle and its picturesque surroundings.
We then leave Nairnshire and journey on to Inverness; Capital of the Highlands. We spend over an hour here, plenty of time to enjoy lunch and walk along the banks of the River Ness and perhaps get some good views of Inverness Castle.
From Inverness, our Invergordon shore excursion continues on to Loch Ness for a quick photo and refreshment break, allowing you the opportunity for a quick bit of Nessie Hunting!
We then travel to Beauly, a small Highland town situated on the scenic River Beauly. Beauly gets its name from the French beau lieu, meaning “beautiful place” – it is believed that this came from a comment from Mary Queen of Scots when she visited the town in 1564. We pause here for photos before our shore excursion moves on to our last stop of the day; Glen Ord Distillery.
Glen Ord is the only remaining single malt whisky distillery situated in the Black Isle and is the home of Singleton Whisky. Enjoy a tour of the distillery, finishing off your Invergordon Shore Excursion with a tasting of the Singleton of Glen Ord 12 year old whisky.
We then return to Invergordon, where your Inverness, Cawdor Castle & Highland Whisky shore excursion ends.
