Have you always dreamt of seeing Paris from a bird’s eye view? If you welcome to opportunity to ascend above the city skyline for a breathtaking experience, what better way to do so than from the icon of Paris itself, the Eiffel Tower! The 360° viewing deck on the Eiffel Tower is second to none; on clear days, you will have the chance to see for miles in every direction. And because Paris is a rather short city (the majority of buildings don’t surpass the seventh floor) you can appreciate every other major monument. That’s quite a feat for one of the world’s most visited urban centers.
Beginning at a meeting point not far from the Eiffel Tower, you guide will give you a brief introduction to Paris. You’ll also have the opportunity to use the restroom before your visit and ask Paris-related questions to our friendly office staff. As you make your way to the Eiffel Tower (a short walk away), your guide will continue to inform you about the conception and building process of the Eiffel Tower, share fun anecdotes about its different uses over the years, and stop for photos in the park.
The Champs de Mars, or long stretch of grass & gravel that flank the Eiffel Tower, is the perfect viewing point for the Dame de fer. Here, you’ll stop for a few minutes for more facts, a security briefing before entering the Eiffel Tower, and one last photo opportunity on the ground. Your guide will then lead you through security, ensuring that everyone gets through swiftly, and into one of the glass elevators. As you ascend over the city, you’ll be amazed at just how much you can see. Paris truly comes to life from this unique vantage point!
Arriving at the second level, your guide will walk you around each side of the Eiffel Tower and continue to explain the various sites that you can see from here. This is one of the only places in Paris where, for instance, we can fully appreciate the Louis Vuitton Fondation, built by famous architect Frank Gehry, in 2014. We will also see the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, perched atop the bustling neighborhood of Montmartre, offering an original perspective for this hard-to-capture church.
You are welcome to stay on the Eiffel Tower as long as you’d like, and should you choose, visit the first level where you can enjoy the glass viewing floor.
