  • TOUR DETAILS

On this all-Napa, food “tour de force”, be delighted by the sights, smells and tastes that have put Napa Valley on the bucket list of foodies everywhere. Your food and wine enthusiast guide will prepare your small group tour for experiences at the Oxbow Marketplace, V. Sattui, Culinary Institute of America, The French Laundry, and other celebrated Napa Valley locations.

    Explore the Oxbow Gourmet Marketplace

Your food-centric day begins with an appetizing stroll through the Oxbow Marketplace that will treat you to a banquet of breads, vegetables, coffees, olive oils, chocolates and more. Enjoy a perfect espresso shot at Ritual Coffee, then head over to the Fatted Calf for a seated journey through their charcuterie plate.

Say “Cheese” at the Napa Valley Welcome Sign

Next, your tour makes a fun photo stop at the Napa Valley Welcome Sign. We’ll pop the cork on a bottle of sparkling wine so the small group can properly toast a beautiful day in Napa Valley.

Relax at V. Sattui’s Picnic Grounds

    V. Sattui showcases hundreds of olive oils, pastas, mustards, spices, cheeses, condiments, and preserves–all perfect additions for your pantry. For your picnic lunch (not included) choose from a tantalizing selection of hearty sandwiches, prepared foods, and super healthy salads. Finish with the house-made Tiramisu, Crème Brûlée, seasonal Fruit Tarts, and Gelatos (not included).

Get Inspired at The Culinary Institute of America

The castle-like Culinary Institute of America at Greystone is one of the world’s most unique and historic locations for food and wine education. Browse an incredible assortment of cookbooks for home cooks and professionals; pick up hard-to-find spices and herbs; and browse the extensive collection of cookware, kitchen tools and utensils.

Farm to Table Wine Tasting at Ballentine Vineyards

On a tour of Ballentine’s 100-year-old winery and barrel room, your small group will learn how this family-owned winery makes use of recycled rainwater and solar power in its sustainable farming operation. Then, enjoy the laid back Napa Valley vibe in a sun-lit outdoor tasting room as you enjoy limited production, single vineyard Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon wines that can only be purchased at the winery.

Visit a California Food Legend: The French Laundry

This intimate 17-table Napa Valley institution and “holy grail” of dining requires foodies to make reservations months, if not years in advance. Since 2007, the Michelin Guide has awarded it their highest 3-star rating and the James Beard Foundation its “Outstanding Restaurant Award”. Don’t count on getting a table while on tour, but you can take a peak at its new state-of-the-art kitchen,16,000-bottle wine cellar, and an extensive culinary vegetable and herb garden.

Taste Sweet Sensations at Anette’s Chocolates

Finish your foodie day in Napa Valley on a sweet note. Inside the glass showroom, see how this Napa Valley shop elevates chocolate using European techniques, new world flavors, modern artistry, and ethically sourced ingredients. It will be a tough choice, but pick one of the mouth-watering, edible works of art and enjoy a moment of true happiness.
